Dear Potential Students, Graduates, Colleagues and Friends of MOC,
We have just graduated our fabulous SE group in November and we are opening the sign-up for 2018. We have been honored to be in partnership with Zaccho Studio this year, invited by Joanna Haigood (Founder & Director of Zaccho) where we successfully re-organized into a 4 extended weekend format to see if we could be more accessible in these faster and busier times and discovered that weekends make sense in this busy Bay Area. We are excited to announce that MOC will continue with this 4 weekend format in 2018.

Zaccho provided an amazing partnership and we have enjoyed their enormous and light-filled studio on the top floor of an artist warehouse building. We also enjoyed having the staff at Zaccho participate in our workshops.
As this year comes to an end, MOC is announcing its BIG NEWS to return to East Bay, BERKELEY, next year – 2018. Zaccho and MOC came to a mutual agreement for this change. We look forward to any further collaboration with Zaccho in the future.
We will miss being under the umbrella of Zaccho and at the same time, we look forward to being at the FINNISH HALL in Berkeley under a new partnership with InterKinected, who have generously offered to be our fiscal sponsor.
Finnish Hall is an enormous, beautiful, naturally lit wood floor studio and is currently an exciting new Hub of active dance, performance, political and other events.
We are thrilled to be a part of this Hub and look forward to the beginning of another year back in the East Bay starting on May 2, 2018, ending Jan. 27, 2019.
We invite YOU and ANYONE who has been interested in the Somatic Module training program to APPLY to this dynamic and unique Somatic Education training program that began in 1994.
Please let others know, please pass this e-mail on to any e-mail lists you think would be interested. This module provides the prerequisites to join the Dynamic Embodiment-Somatic Movement Therapy Training (DE-SMTT) directed by Martha Eddy.
Given what is going on in the world right now, we truly need more socially conscious body based activists, artists, health practitioners and humans more than ever to counterbalance an environment of fear, dis-embodiment, violence, racism, marginalization and etc. We also hope to organize and run the Socially Conscious Body Module in 2018-2019. Please watch future emails about this module. We continue to contribute to the developing new and inspiring leadership emerging. MOC is alive and Well back in the Bay Area!
In support of all, we are all doing to making this world a better place, Carol Swann, (Co-founder/Director) & Martha Eddy (Founder/faculty)
