What is CranioSacral about?
CranioSacral Harmonics, as developed by Chiropractor Ron Lavine RSMT, student of Irmgard Bartenieff is a powerful tool in restoring health throughout the body. It involves light non-invasive touch that directly activates the cerebrospinal fluid, the nerves, and the whole body’s connective tissue.
In Dynamic Embodiment® Somatic Movement Therapy (De-SMT or DE) this type of touch along with cellular presence provides a gentle entry point for working with any of the physiological “Body Systems” as taught by Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen of Body-Mind Centering®.
What does the event focus on?
In this workshop we will learn to contact the CranioSacral Rhythm, the CerebroSpinal Fluid, and then apply those to other tissues – organs, muscles, bones, some of the senses and some of each of the different circulating fluids of the body. Prior experience with BMC® is helpful. In learning the Dynamic Embodiment® approach to touch we will also use concepts from Laban/Bartenieff Studies to more precisely describe how to meet the tissue “where it is at.”
This Dynamic Embodiment® process entitled “Dynamics of Touch” is at the heart of the hands-on movement re-patterning work of Dynamic Embodiment-SMT.
In Summary, this workshop focuses on phrasing of touch using the Dynamic Embodiment approach of beginning with CranioSacral Harmonics™ as the ground for profound entry into each type of tissue of the varying physiological systems of the body.
